If there was ever a question about wether or not Gina was showing, those questions have been eliminated with extreme prejudice. The labors of pregnancy are upon her. These labors, of course, are just a prelude to the labor of actual birth.
But enough about her.
After a lot of back-and-forth, we finally purchased a crib, a mattress, a rocking chair and ottoman, and some bedding things. Jack's bedroom had a sailboat border going across the top. After several attempts I removed it and the layers beneath it. I also accidentaly eliminated some chunks of wall here and there.
We settled on a painter. He's coming by tomorrow to work out the details. He's going to paint Jack's room, the main living room/dining room area, the corridor, the kitchen, and the office. We bought "FreshAire" paint. Unfortunately, its more expensive, but it lacks the fumes and is earth friendlier. 12 gallons cost $500.25 (including taxes, etc). I need one more gallon, but Home Depot didn't have enough for us at the time. I'll pick it up this week.
It will be nice to see things start to come together. I'd like Jack's room to get painted first just so we finally have some measurable progress. Its going to be two tone. The bottom third or so will be a dark blue color. the top 2/3rds will be a sky blue. We have a snoopy border to serve as the transition between the two tones.
Jack is kicking a lot more. The doctor says that's normal. I think Jack's just aggravated with Gina for not giving him a twinkie. Gina wants to ground him immediately upon birth, but I find that distasteful and would rather wait a week or so.
Still no word on wether or not he's the Anti-Christ. Maybe by the third trimester.
