Jack Update

Greetings

Jack has, to some extent, discovered that he has hands. He's starting wave his hands and arms frantically at things and make them spin and roll. A lot of it is at least partially intentional. At a new year's party last week, he picked up his pacifier twice. When we feed him, he occasionally wraps his hands around it.

He's smiling a lot, but no giggling yet. Any day now.

He still craps in his diaper several times a day. At 3 months old, I was hoping he would've grown out of that by now.

We wrapped and unwrapped several christmas gifts on his behalf. Our families were generous with the toys and clothes; mostly clothes from gina's side, and toys from my side.

He's making a lot of baby noises. More and more often, we hear his little baby voice squeaking through.

If the people we bump into are to be believed, he's pretty big for a 3 month old. We'll know for sure when we take him to the pediatrician in 4 weeks.

He likes to sit up more than lay down. We have a bouncer seat... when he stretches real far, his toes barely touch the bottom.

He's eating a lot. He's been at 6oz for several weeks now, and over the last few days, he's been demanding a lot more. Tonight, we started him on some cereal. He was open to the idea, but was more inclined to wearing it than swallowing it. He enjoyed the exercise nonetheless. The cereal is about 4 weeks ahead of schedule, so we'll probably forget to mention that to the pediatrician, unless he asks.

At 3 months, Jack is happy and healthy and, as far as we can tell, having fun.
